Inward Investment Manager

Salary:  £47,420 - £51,515 per annum. N10 grade - Pay Award Pending

Fixed Term post to cover a period of maternity leave.
 

The North East Combined Authority was formed on 7 May 2024. We are led by an Elected Mayor and Cabinet and cover the seven local authority areas of County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside and Sunderland.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the INEE Team which plays an important role in growing the North East economy and creating new employment opportunities. We support a wide range of businesses to help them locate in the region, from global companies to innovative, tech-enabled SMEs.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate advocate for the North East of England who has experience of working with businesses to secure investment projects.

You will be responsible for developing strategic regional approaches to attracting inward investment in key sectors, with the confidence to develop senior partner and business relationships. You will work with local and national stakeholders to develop and promote the North East investment opportunities in national and international markets.

You will also be responsible for developing and leading on a caseload of inward investment projects, generating new project leads from both within the UK and overseas, and managing the client journey from initial engagement through to successful investment. 

You will have the opportunity to travel nationally and internationally, to meet inward investment leads and present on behalf of the North East.
